Rally Cap - Formerly TBall

NEW FOR 2024

In 2024, Orleans Little League will be piloting the Rally Cap program.  The Rally Cap Program is an initiative to enhance players' and coaches' first experience with the game of baseball! The program helps teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball (Fundamental movement skills, throwing, receiving, hitting, base running) in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to learn, acquire and perform different baseball skills in order to progress through the different levels of the program.

Goals
1. Create a fun environment in which children and adults are actively engaged together in the game of baseball.
2. Develop fundamental motor skills, teach baseball skills, and basic rules to our athletes.
3. Experience success with an emphasis on respect and fair play.
4. Promote increased self-esteem among Rally Cap particpants.
5. Recruit new coaches, parent helpers and volunteers

Benefits of Rally Cap over traditional TBall programs

When compared to traditional t-ball programs, Rally Cap results in:
  • 7.5x the number of ball touches
  • 15x more balls hit
  • 3x the positions played
This means that players will have more opportunities on the field to improve their development.

This co-ed program is offered for our youngest players, aged 4 - 6.  Registration for this program is separated into 2 parts.  All players that are registering for the Rally Cap program must register for the base program.  On the registration form this is the Rally Cap (Co-ed) - Required part.  This program is a 10 week program that will run on the weekend from May 25th to July 27th.  For families that want an additional night of baseball we are offering an optional registration for Thursday nights where teams will be fielded and will have a game.  On the registration form this is the Rally Cap (Co-ed) - Optional Thursday Game part.

Typically, the Rally Cap program will be run held at any of the following parks:
Barnabe Park, Francois Dupont Park, Louis Perrault Park, Scala Park, Queenswood Heights Centennial Park or Chapel Hill Park.
Please check out our Venues page for locations of those parks
