Rally Cap - Formerly TBall
Goals
1. Create a fun environment in which children and adults are actively engaged together in the game of baseball.
2. Develop fundamental motor skills, teach baseball skills, and basic rules to our athletes.
3. Experience success with an emphasis on respect and fair play.
4. Promote increased self-esteem among Rally Cap particpants.
5. Recruit new coaches, parent helpers and volunteers
Benefits of Rally Cap over traditional TBall programs
When compared to traditional t-ball programs, Rally Cap results in:
- 7.5x the number of ball touches
- 15x more balls hit
- 3x the positions played
This means that players will have more opportunities on the field to improve their development.
This co-ed program is offered for our youngest players, aged 4 - 6. All players that are registering for the Rally Cap program must register for the base program. On the registration form this is the Rally Cap (Co-ed) - Required part. This program is a 10 week program that will run on the weekend from May 17th to July 19th. For families of our 6 year old players who will be playing Rookie next year (ie in 2026), we are offering an optional registration for Thursday nights where teams will be fielded and will have a game. On the registration form this is the Rally Cap (Co-ed) - Optional Thursday Game part.
Location and Times:
Typically the Rally Cap program will be run at the following parks:
Barnabe Park, Francois Dupont Park, Louis Perrault Park, Scala Park, Queenswood Heights Centennial Park or Chapel Hill Park.
Please check out our Venues page for locations of these parks
Players will be divided into small teams. We aim to have a maximum of 8 players per team. Saturday Rally sessions will alternate between 9:00 - 10:30 and 10:30 - 12-00
Cost:
The cost for the Rally Cap program is $110 for the the required session and an additional $40 for the Optional Thursday session for our our 6 year old players who will be playing Rookie next year
Orleans Little League is a volunteer based organization. For the Rally Cap program to succeed we will need parents to volunteer as coaches and helpers for the sessions. Coaching at this level is not difficult and we already have suggested practice plans for each week. These can be found in the Coach's Clipboard section of our website.
